Innovation & Data4Good - are we on the brink of a new era of data-driven innovation?
With the power of data seen by all during the pandemic and UK data regulations changing the public sector is at a tipping point in its use of data for public good.
While the Government has flagged the changes up as a boost for the national economy, its consultation document on post-Brexit regulations also raises the possibility of changes in how the public sector approaches the issue.
It talks about clarifications and modifications in the use of personal data, eliminating bias in the use of algorithms and providing a clearer picture for data sharing.
Against this backdrop, next week’s UKAuthority Innovation and Data4Good event – set to take place over three 90-minute sessions on the mornings of 13, 14 and 15 October – will look at developments in the field with a series of expert perspectives on new uses for data to help improve the lives and health of our citizens.
