The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) has agreed on its second contract with data and technology services provider Made Tech as part of its IT transformation programme.
They have agreed on a two-year, £7 million deal under which the company will provide design, development and application support services as part of the re-engineering of DVLA systems onto open source cloud platforms.
It will also involve developing new internal and external facing digital services.
This follows the recent conclusion of a 12-month, £3 million contract between the two for similar services.
Tom Brewer, head of service creation at the DVLA, said: “Over the last year we have built an excellent relationship and shared vision of how to deliver first class digital services for our customers.
“The blended delivery model comprising DVLA and Made Tech staff has led to an exceptional working culture that has delivered key strategic outcomes such as our First Provisional License digital service.”
Made Tech has a base of operations close to DVLA’s headquarters in Swansea.
